Weave a Cushion Cover

Jump straight into the fun part of weaving on a 4-shaft table loom under the guidance of weaver and textile designer Angie Parker.

With access to a wide range of Angie’s colourful yarns, you can let your creativity run wild while learning different weave structures, including plain and twill. The looms will be threaded up in preparation for this workshop and the session can be adapted to meet the requirements of each participant. You can get in touch before the workshop to request specific colours and where possible Angie will find a shade that matches from her extensive yarn supply.

Once each participant has finished weaving their panel, Angie transforms the woven sample into a simple cushion for you to take home. All in three hours in the spacious and purpose-built workshop space. (More or less. Sometimes, the session runs over by 15 minutes.)

As everyone weaves at a different pace some might finish before the end of the workshop advertised time.

Unlimited tea, coffee, and biscuits are provided and the sessions are fun, informal and friendly.

IMPORTANT. The workshop is a standing activity that involves repeated action. Those who suffer from lower back pain might experience some discomfort. Seating is available, and taking regular breaks is recommended.
