Who is it for?

The farm also seeks to actively engage with people who experience racism and/or are from diverse ethnic heritage and underrepresented in mainstream culture, as well as individuals from deprived areas of the city.
Commitment (days and times)
One of the following sessions every week:
- Wednesday mornings 9:30am – 12:30pm
- Wednesday afternoons 1:30pm – 4:30pm
- Thursday mornings 9:30am – 12:30pm
Main activities and tasks
- to maintain the food growing areas and harvest produce for the café and farm shop
- to develop and maintain areas of the garden to be used by groups e.g. children’s garden and wildlife area
- to maintain and develop gardens for visitors to enjoy
Skills, experience and qualities you need
- some experience of gardening desirable but not essential
- ability to be part of a team and work with others to complete tasks
- able to take own initiative
- ability to work independently to complete tasks
This is ideal for someone who would like to increase their personal confidence and work with different people.

- initial induction
- support given during sessions from a member of staff
- volunteer meetings
The role will provide you with the opportunity to give something to the community while you improve your wellbeing.
