The Turkey wing style of brush is a beautiful and incredibly useful brush for the home/workshop.

During the 2 hour session Florence Hamer you will have the chance to make up to 4 brushes. We will be working with a range of natural fibres that are widely used in the craft of brush making.

About Florence:

Flo is a traditional craftswoman specialising in basketry and green woodworking. All her work is linked with a love of working with wood, in traditional techniques, and the desire to keep these endangered skills alive. Flo teaches a range of courses in traditional crafts, as well as being a full time maker. Working in materials such as willow, hazel, ash and oak. Winner of best Contemporary Basket 2023 in the ‘Basketry of the Year’ competition held by the Basketmakers Association. And shortlisted maker in the ‘Bespoke Product Design’ category in the 2023 ‘Wood Awards’.
