We think you’ll agree there’s something special about Summer at Windmill Hill City Farm, and this year, The Garden Theatre is bringing a brilliant season packed with creativity, community, and family-friendly performances.

 

Set amid the gentle hum of the farm, The Garden Theatre offers an outdoor experience with a relaxed, informal environment for live arts events and more. What makes The Garden Theatre so special isn’t just the performances, it’s the setting. Here’s what you can look forward to across the Summer.

21st June - Summer Solstice Event
Kick things off with a celebration of the longest day of the year. Expect a warm, welcoming atmosphere filled with seasonal activities.

 

27th June - Windmill Hill Market
A lively community market with local makers, food, and a vibrant buzz throughout the farm.

 

28th June - Tidal Tales: Little Folk Gig
A charming folk performance perfect for all ages, gentle storytelling through music in an intimate outdoor setting.

 

28th July - Mr Browns Pig: The Woodland Puppet Show
A magical, nature-inspired puppet show that younger audiences will love. Expect whimsy, laughter, and woodland creatures brought to life.

 

6th August - Fungi Frida and the Myco Heroes
A wonderfully imaginative adventure blending storytelling and science. Fun, quirky, and educational.

 

15th August - The Wind in the Willows
A classic tale of friendship and adventure, reimagined for the garden stage. A must-see for families.

18th August - Peter Rabbit
Beatrix Potter’s beloved character hops into the spotlight in a delightful show for younger audiences.

 

21st August - Treasure Island
High seas, daring pirates, and swashbuckling fun - perfect for older children and adventurous spirits.

 

12th September - 50th Anniversary Fayre
A special celebration marking 50 years of the farm, filled with festivities, community spirit, and plenty to enjoy.
