Beltane at Windmill Hill City Farm: A Celebration of Summer

14th April 2026

As the beginning of May approaches, we welcome Beltane, a traditional Gaelic festival that marks the arrival of Summer and the start of the pastoral season. Rooted in celebration of light, growth, and new beginnings, it’s a time to gather, reconnect with nature, and embrace the changing seasons.

This year, Windmill Hill City Farm is bringing that spirit to life with a rich programme of events from 1st – 10th May 2026.

What to Expect on Beltane Day

Join us on Sunday, 3rd May, for a relaxed, joyful gathering that honours the turning of the seasons:

  • 11am – 1pm: Jumble Sale
Discover hidden gems and pre-loved treasures. Every item is just £2!
  • 11am – 1pm: Traditional Crafts
Hands-on activities, including tea making and willow weaving
  • 1pm – 3pm: Live Music & Maypole Dancing
Feel the energy of Beltane with live music and traditional maypole dancing.

This Beltane celebration is a pay-what-you-can event. While a suggested donation is £5 per ticket, any contribution, big or small, goes directly back into supporting the farm. GET YOUR TICKET HERE.
