Ostara, or the Spring Equinox, is a Pagan celebration that marks the return of spring, the balance between light and dark, and themes of renewal and growth. ⁠

To celebrate the return of the light and all the beautiful growth and new life we will experience on the farm, we are putting on an Ostara event week.

As well as an Ostara celebration on the 21st of March, we will also be hosting a range of activities and workshops in keeping with the season.

Ostara Farm Celebration

21st March 10 - 3 PM

We’re hosting a family-friendly day of activities to mark Ostara, with something for all ages to enjoy.

What to expect on the day:

Windmill Hill Market

Our much-loved market returns for the first time of the year. Enjoy browsing over 50 stalls, taking in the creations of local artists, sampling delicious street food and grabbing bargains at our slow fashion shop.

A Wassail Ceremony hosted by Bruhaha

Join us for this ancient English ritual, as we bless our apple orchard and sample our delicious farm-grown cider!

Candle Making Workshop

14th March 3 - 5 PM

Join us for an intimate evening with Casa de Coralina. Over two hours, you'll discover the story behind the brand, explore the art of scent, and hand-pour your own luxury soy candle to take home.

Whether you're coming with your mum, treating yourself, or looking for a truly meaningful gift experience — this evening is designed to slow down, connect, and create something beautiful together.

Women's Yoga & Sauna Retreat

22nd March 9.30 - 3 PM

The day includes time to soften into the cleansing heat of the sauna, supporting release, rest and nervous system renewal, alongside a shared, nourishing lunch to ground and replenish.

Woven throughout the day are moments of reflection and connection, exploring how seasonal rhythms can guide us back to a way of living rooted in listening rather than pushing.

The Spring Equinox is a moment of perfect balance—where day and night are equal, and the earth begins its vibrant awakening. Join Lizzie's Embroidery Club for a creative, two-hour sanctuary where we celebrate this seasonal shift through the meditative art of embroidery.

Whether you are a complete beginner or a seasoned stitcher looking for a relaxing afternoon, this workshop is designed for you.

Build Your Own Terrarium Workshop

Come and build your own terrarium with Fancy Plants. Just pick the right location and date for you - we have teamed up with some fab indie cafes, bars and other venues. You can even choose from different-sized terrariums.

Medieval Tile-Making Workshop

28th March

Join Martin for this five-hour medieval tile-making workshop.

The course involves making up to four medieval tiles, which will be glazed and fired after the class.

Tile designs can be created by impressing or carving into the clay.

Once you have pressed or carved your tile, a lighter colour clay is pressed in. After a short wait, allowing the inlayed clay a chance to partially dry, the tile is scraped back to reveal the inlayed design.
