Come and enjoy winter at Windmill Hill City Farm! From festive markets and creative workshops to music, wellbeing activities and community gatherings, there’s plenty happening throughout November and December.

 

Whether you’re looking to make something special, discover local makers, enjoy live music or simply take a break with a warming drink and a slice of cake, there’s something to enjoy at the farm this winter.

What’s on this Festive Season?

28th of November – Windmill Hill Market: Festive Gift Fayre

Get a head start on your Christmas shopping at the Windmill Hill Market Festive Gift Fayre. Browse gifts and discover local makers and independent traders while supporting small businesses in the run-up to Christmas.

 

28th of November – Wreath Making Workshop

Get creative and make your own festive wreath to take home. A lovely opportunity to get into the seasonal spirit and create something special for your front door.

5th of December – Yuletide: Little Folk Music Gig

Enjoy a festive musical gathering with Yuletide: Little Folk Music Gig. A seasonal event celebrating music and bringing the whole family together at the farm.

 

5th of December – Migrateful Kitchen: Festive Snacks

Discover festive flavours with Migrateful Kitchen. Enjoy a seasonal food experience celebrating cooking, culture and sharing good food with others.

 

5th of December – Christmas Macramé Decorations Workshop

Add a handmade touch to your festive decorations with this Christmas macramé workshop. Learn creative techniques and make your own decorations to bring out year after year.

 

5th of December – Christmas Ornament Decorating with Glazed and Confused

6th of December – Wreath Making Workshop

8th of December – Supper Club: Free & a Warm Space

Come together over food and enjoy a welcoming space to spend time with others. The Supper Club offers an opportunity to connect with the local community and enjoy a warm space during the colder months.

10th of December – Make Cyanotype Christmas Baubles

Try something different with this creative workshop exploring cyanotype printing. Make your own Christmas baubles using this distinctive photographic printing technique and create decorations with a unique finish.

 

11th of December – Songs for the Soul: Wellbeing Choir

Take some time out to enjoy the uplifting power of singing together. Songs for the Soul is a wellbeing choir session offering a chance to connect with others through music in a welcoming environment.

 

12th of December – Silent Disco Walk: Festive Edition

12th of December – The Nutcracker and The Mouse King

13th of December – Make Cyanotype Christmas Baubles

There's another chance to try cyanotype printing and create your own distinctive Christmas baubles. Perfect for anyone who enjoys getting creative and making decorations by hand.

 

16th of December – Orchard Sauna Christmas Party

Celebrate the festive season with a special Christmas party at the Orchard Sauna. A chance to enjoy a seasonal get-together and make time for relaxation and wellbeing.

 

19th of December – RWA Free Workshop: Scribble & Sketch

Unwind and get creative at this free workshop with the Royal West of England Academy. Scribble, sketch and explore your creativity in a relaxed setting for the whole family.

More festive things to enjoy at the farm

Find your Christmas tree

Looking for a tree for your home? Christmas trees will be available to buy throughout December outside the cafe, giving you the chance to find your festive centrepiece while visiting the farm.

 

Warm up in the café

Make a visit to the farm part of your winter routine. Stop by the café for seasonal drinks, warming treats and delicious cakes. It's the perfect place to take a break before or after exploring the farm.

 

Enjoy a winter wander

Windmill Hill City Farm is free to visit and open seven days a week. Wrap up warm, explore the gardens, say hello to the farm animals and enjoy a little green space away from the bustle of the city.
